Its a quick read (might take a day, if youre a fast reader). At times I found myself thinking they might fly away at any moment. Yoko Ogawas Revenge is a lovely little collection of slightly strange, and at times eerie short stories that seem unrelated, but hints at an overall, deeper connection at different point within the book. The kiwis in particular grew so thick that on moonlit nights when the wind was blowing, the whole hillside would tremble as though covered with a swarm of dark green bats. ![]() Nevertheless, the trees were covered with beautiful fruit.
